SAP WM - PHYSICAL INVENTORY

Annual Inventory Count: 

The process of conducting a thorough physical count of all inventory items within a warehouse or storage location in SAP WM, known as the Annual Inventory Count, aims to verify the accuracy of the system's inventory records and ensure alignment between the recorded quantities and the actual stock. This procedure is typically carried out annually.

As part of the Annual Inventory Count, all warehouse operations pertaining to the movement of stock are halted in order to ensure that no modifications are made to the inventory while the counting process takes place. This aims to achieve a precise representation of the inventory's status at a designated moment.

This procedure will be conducted annually for all the items present in the warehouse facility.

Annual Physical Inventory Process: 

• LX15- Selection of storage bins for Annual Inventory count
• LX22 (Optional): Physical Inventory documents status overview
• ZWM_PI_PRT_COUNT: Print inventory document.
• ZWM_PI_PRT_COUNT: Download in Excel to enter count results to upload
• LI20 Clear difference in WM level document by document
• LI21 clear difference in IM level

Execute transaction LX15 to perform Annual Inventory count

Please provide the Warehouse number IAG, Storage type 001, and any necessary Storage Bins.

Please provide the relevant Warehouse Number, Storage Type, and Storage Bin information, if applicable.

Next, click on the Executive option available.

Click on the option that says "Activate"

To complete the task, use Executive SM35 to run a Batch Input Session.

Choose the correct Batch Session and click Process.

Click the "Process" button.

Choose Process/Foreground or Display Errors Only as needed and click Process.

Please hit the ENTER key.

Continue pressing ENTER until you reach the end.

Click on "Session Overview" to access the Batch Session overview screen.

Executive LX22 – Comprehensive Overview of Inventory Management

Executive ZWM_PI_PRT_COUNT:

Enter the Warehouse Number, Plant, and Inventory Record Number and Select Print Radio Button

Click on Executive

Click on PRINT (F9)

Click on YES

Print Form:

To download the same in Excel format, Click on List à Export à Spreadsheet

Select Spreadsheet and press ENTER

Press ENTER

This format will get downloaded.

Update the Excel sheet with Count date as systems date (date of PI performing date), Counted Qty, and Zero stock indicator if the stock is Zero, do not fill the remarks column and save the sheet.

Execute transaction ZWM_PI_PRT_COUNT again, this time click on count radio button.

Enter Warehouse Number, Plant, Inventory Record, File Name (Path) and Select Count Radio Button

Click on EXECUTIVE

Click on SAVE

Click on YES

Executive LI20 to Clear the WM Inventory

Enter the Warehouse Number and Inventory Record and Press ENTER

Select Appropriate Inventory Record

Click on WRITE OFF

Executive LI21 to clear the IM Inventory

Click on EXECUTIVE

Select appropriate records

Click on WRITE OFF
